The name of the winged Siipikirppu comes from the bristles on its body, which start to vibrate in the water. The bristles imitate the limbs of insects. Every water bug has a bunch of tiny hairy legs, which help them swim forward in the water with twitching movements.
We always recommend using thin line and a light rod tip with the winged Siipikirppu. With it, you can catch perch and small-sized salmonids such as whitefish and grayling.
